eCollege is a government-funded online training platform—an accessible digital gateway to further education and training in Ireland, supported by SOLAS.
We’ve worked in close collaboration with SOLAS on the eCollege project, beginning with the development of a distinctive identity and brand that would stand out in the digital learning space. As a free platform catering to an exceptionally broad audience—including students, professionals, and lifelong learners—we knew the brand needed to be both engaging and inclusive, resonating with people from all walks of life.
The idea
Our first objective was to develop a brand identity that reflected the core values of eCollege: accessibility, positivity, and opportunity.
We designed a logo using simple, friendly, rounded forms to shape the ‘e’ and ‘c’, creating a visual identity that felt approachable and modern. Bright, blended colours were used to infuse a sense of energy and optimism—expressing the excitement and potential that eCollege represents. The result is a warm, welcoming identity that appeals across age groups and learning stages.
The execution
With the brand identity in place, our next task was to design a digital awareness campaign to position eCollege as a national, free online learning resource.
This included developing compelling visuals, writing engaging copy, and producing a targeted radio campaign to amplify the message nationwide. We created a suite of both static and animated assets tailored for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, websites, and programmatic advertising.
All creative assets were delivered in multiple formats—HTML5, GIFs, and static JPEGs—to ensure broad compatibility and reach. Irish-language versions of all content were also developed and delivered where required, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
